Why is the polar star still?

The living things are in heaven. They're as restless as the Papuots, traveling through the cosmos and leaving footprints all over the sky. Some stars are animals seeking better pastures, while others are birds traveling to warm climates. His favorite hunting place is the sky.

However, there is one person who doesn't move. It's Qui-am-i Wintook, Polar Star.

Nagah, the sheep of the mountains, long ago found a very high mountain with steep sides and a sharp peak that reached to the clouds. Nagah climbed to the peak. The Great Spirit, Shinob, was in heaven when he saw Nagah lost on the top. He decided to turn the sheep into a seed (star), which would shine in the sky so that everyone could see it. It would be a guide to all living beings both in heaven and on earth. So it happened. Nagah became the only star that stays in the same place every day. She, unlike the others, is always still, allowing travellers to find their way. And because it is in the northern sky, people called it Qui-am-i Wintook Poot-see, also known as the Polar Star or the Northern Star.

It's a story about the paute, an ancient and prosperous people who now live mainly in Utah.
